Pink Leopards... who knew...

Just a quick post for now, what I'm going to show you now is my entry to The Polished Momma's nail art contest. Really the only rules were to use at least one of her options, stamping is ok, and no stickers or acrylic used. Her "options" were a short list of her favorite things:
Pink
Animal Print
Stars
Cupcakes
Frogs
Just a random list of her favorite things. So I ran with the first 2, a very pink leopard mani. Onto the pictures...

First off sorry about the slight mess around my nails, when I took these photos I hadn't fully cleaned up yet. I tried to take some pictures later on but the lighting wasn't right and flash changed the colors and just looked awful. So I'm just stuck with these ones, oh well.

Used:
Base coat of Beauty Secrets Moisturizing Nail Primer
Base Color- I'm actually not sure what color this is, It came form Color Club's Alter Ego collection
Stamping done in Color Club- OverBoard Plate- BM221
Dots in Color Club- In Bloom
Glitter Gradient at the tips done with Finger Paints- Hue Left A message
All topped with Seche Vite

2 coats Color Club- Antiquated
1 coat China Glaze- Oxidized Aqua
topped with Seche Vite

ASBMF- Glitter Sammy

I really like the look of the glitter sammy but I've only done it once before seen here, then I used neon polishes, But this time I went for the jelly polish. I don't have many jelly polishes, well it's probably more like I really bad at distinguishing when a polish is a jelly.

Anyway enough about that, on to todays mani...

This polish is a pain to photograph, it's not that you need to get a color accurate photo, but it looks different in different lighting. It is definitely a blue- toned purple and bright. Even though in the bottle it looks like it'd be super dark. Remind's me of Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl in that sense, I actually thought it might of been closer in color but Daddy's Girl is not as bright and just a darker purple.

Used: Base coat
2 Coats Spoiled by Weyt N Wild- Checkin' into Rehab (my bf says I need to for my polish addiction... Ha Good luck with that one Mister)
one coat of each- Spoiled by Wet N Wild- Jewelry Heist
KleanColor- Chunky Silver
Then topped with another generous coat of Checkin' Into Rehab
All topped with Seche Vite

Next on the list is April Showers... Hmmm dunno what I'm gonna do yet.

ASBMF- Lady Bugs

I intended to have little ladybugs on my nails, well my ladybug stamp just was not transferring as well as I would of liked, so I just grabbed all the colors I was using and came up with this design. It is not ladybugs in any way, But I think it came out pretty good and I'm happy with this.

I actually saw a really cute ladybug design that I would of tried but the day after doing these, I may try them in the near future but I figured I would still just use these for today.

These remind me of fall, like I should of worn them to a pumpkin patch or something. Is it just me? That's just what I thought, not very "springy" I know but I don't really mind. I'm not one to wear whats "in" for the season, yes you will see me wear some very dark colors this spring/ summer, I wear what I want to when I feel like it.

This was the first time I used Fast Track, oh how much I am loving it, such pretty golden shimmer in there

Used:
Base coat- Beauty Secrets Moisturizing nail primer
Base Color- China Glaze- Fast Track
Dots-
China Glaze- Poinsettia
China Glaze- Lemon Fizz
Sally Hansen- Sun Kissed
Wet N Wild- Black Creme

I only took these 2 pics of my ladybug fail, thought I'd at least include them. The stamp did show up well enough, I just wasn't happy with how transparent it was.

On to my pictures...

ASBMF - Spring Pastels

I've started a new Spring themed challenge created by the Lovely Hannah over at Polished Prisms. It's called April Showers Bring May Flowers, this challenge isn't like others, there are 14 different themes, and it do at your own pace. So I think I can do this. I read through all the themes and really like them, so it might take a little while to complete but that is kind of the point to take it into May right.

I believe she even made this cute pic, Adorable isn't it.

On to Number One my Spring Pastels Mani (which inevitably was also my Easter Mani wore like iron for days, considering I was sick again from Fri til Mon- Tues-ish I was wearing this until tuesday night and it still never chipped that was like 5 days or so. Normally I wouldn't leave it on so long but when I'm sick I can barely function let alone make my nails all pretty. Ok enough talk on to the nails... I took the idea PastelS and ran with it...

If you look closely you can see the Silver stamping under the White stamping, and maybe can see just a hint of shimmer over all the colors. That was my initial idea I had planned on leaving it at that, well until I saw it and just hated it at that point. I had topcoated and everything. Of course it had taken awhile to get all the colors on there, Pastels when sponged on need a couple of coats even with a base color. So instead of just leaving it alone and hating it, I decided to try to add to it I've seen a few other Bloggers do this stamping layer to create some really pretty looks. So I figured why not I couldn't make it any worse.
Fortunately I love the outcome, I think it came out so cool, I got a ton of compliments on this mani and that always make me feel good when people notice.

All together I used a bunch of polished I'm just going to list them below

Base Coat - Sally Hansen- Hard as Wraps
Base Color- Sally Hansnen Sheer Vanilla (maybe white would of been a better choice but I thought I'd try this one, and actually likes how it wasn't so stark under the other colors.)
Pastels- In no particular order
Kleancolor- Pastel Teal
Kleancolor- Pastel Orange
China Glaze- Lemon Fizz60,
Sally Hansen- Mint Sorbet
Sally Hansen- Lacey Lilac

Confetti- Tiara (the shimmer over the initial stamping)

Stamping-
Wet n Wild- Metallica
Spoiled by Wet n Wild- Correction Tape (it has become my go- to white for any nail art.)
Wet n Wild- Black Creme
Everything topped off with Seche Vite of course
Stamping plates- MASH- m60 & m57, Bundler Monster- BM-201
I hope you all enjoy these as much as I did. It was fun to create, and definitely fun to wear.
