Batman Live

As you can probably tell I did not finish the This is Halloween challenge, it was a choice of mine around the 23rd. I just got tired of going with a theme every time.  I think it has something to do with that I was doing the 31 day challenge before and actually stops in the middle to do this Halloween one, I just got to me, I actually have a few manis that I just never had time to post. I dunno if I'm going to post all of them now or what since it's now after Halloween but we'll see.

Anyway onto what I'm showing you today We went to see the Batman Live show, it was awesome and I did my nails to match some of the characters. It was fun to come up with, my boyfriend and I sat down and came up with each nail idea then had to sit down and pick all the colors. And it was a lot of different colors so I am just going to list all under the first picture any questions on specific colors just let me know.

Day 8- Metallic Nails

So I'm sure most of you have heard of the new Essence Peel Off Base Coat, seeing as I'm in the US and most Essence polishes aren't available here I figured it wouldn't happen anytime soon or if ever. But then I saw people talking about how the Peel off Base Coat is just PVA glue, which is good ol' Elmers Glue or white glue. I'm not going to show you how it works that can be seen here or here, there are more but I'm just going to link to two. I tried this under this mani and actually am peeling it off now, worked like a charm for me, I can't wait to try it under some glitter. Anyway enough talk onto the pictures...

Used:
Base of Elmers Glue
Pure Ice- Bite Me 2 coats
Models Own- Golden Green 2 coats
Topped with Seche Vite

Yay for my first Models Own, I found it at an Urban Outfitters on Clearance, it was actually my first time at an Urban Outfitters too so I grabbed a couple of their polishes as well. I'm a little sad that this was the only Models Own they had left I assume they had the whole Beetle Juice Collection at one point but I don't actually know. Either way I'm happy to have found this one.

I love the shine on this one, but seriously have no idea why my skin is so Red.

thick coat Essence Blue Ray
and accent nail

Attempt at Half Moon...

...And when I say Attempt I mean it, this so did not come out as I thought it would. I was debating weather or not to even take pics, earlier today I was dead set on not even taking pics didn't want to see it again LOL. But in the end I decided to take my pics and just put in on here, why not? Sometimes things don't work and that's ok.

Ok so this started our as being a half moon mani, but when I taped off my cuticles I put them too far on the nail, so it ended up looking like some weird in-between of a half moon and a french manicure. Which makes for this weird looking mani, For about the first hour after I finished I thought I might like it, but as the day went on I realized it's just not working out, My boyfriend even tried to say it looked good-ish, but I could tell he was only trying to make me feel better about it hehe, even he could tell how awful it turned out. Eh maybe someone will like this and want to try it, just a note it might of worked better on longer nails, note to self do not chop off nails right before trying something new...

base coat
2 coats Avon Urban grey
1 coat Seche Vite
2 coats Confetti Moonstruck
then 2 coats Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter
1 coat of Seche Vite,
And after all that I started to think dont want this shiny, So I added a coat of China Glaze matte top coat.

And this is what I was left with, lol yes that does not only seem like a lot of polish for one manicure it even looks kinda thick ugh live and learn eh. Oh well no biggie now I know.
I will have to definitely try the half moon again and try to get it right.

oh yea, and the first pic is super clear shows my nails all chopped off (they were bugging me last night), but the second pic is way more true to color but a little blurry so I included both.
