ASBMF- Spring Design of Your Choice

Here is the Last post in the April Showers Bring May Flowers challenge, I may have been a little longer but I finished it yay. 

For my design I went with some neon gradients in all colors of the Color Club Electro Candy collection. With a little something on top... Onto the pictures 

Used: 

Base Coat

Base Color- Ulta - Set The Nude

What a Shock!

Glitter- 

Icing- Shredded

Savvy- Touch of Glitter

I started with a nude base color then just sponged on top of that. Using little pieces of make up sponge. 

after that I added a coat of Savvy- Touch of Glitter, A holo glitter 

And on top of that was Icing- Shredded. This polish is really awesome I love the look of the black shards all over. It was pretty easy to apply, the problems came when I was trying to get it to be smooth. I added 2 coats of top coat right away. Then the next day added more top coat, I had piece poking up at the corners of the shards. No matter how much top coat I added it would not cover it smoothly. So I eventually gave up and just left it bumpy, Even in the pictures you can see where it lays into the topcoat not under it. 

I do really like Shredded and will use it again, (I really want to make mint chip nails), Just not sure what to do to cover it completely. 

Pictures are pretty color accurate, the only color that looks a big different is Tangerine Scream, it looks more Coral than orange, but I think that has to do with the nude base not the camera. Since it looked that way in the sun and in every other lighting. 

ASBMF- The Paper Gal- Newspaper Transfer

I am almost done with this challenge, Yay I actually made it through...
So for this one I thought it would be an easy to do, so I sat down with my little cut up pieces of newspaper and some rubbing alcohol. And just nothing was working I don't know why I have only tried this once but last time it worked perfectly seen here, but this time it just did not want to transfer. Oh well I got it to work enough.
Anyway enough rambling on to the nails...

Used: 

Base Coat of Orly Nail Armor 

Base Color- Opi- Bubble Bath

With KleanColor- Aurora sponged up from the tips. 

All topped with Seche Vite  

ASBMF- May Flowers

When I sat down to do this mani I did not have a plan after my failed attempt at trying this design by Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails, hers turned out really pretty and just awesome. Well my attempt was well awful. I  didn't even keep them on for 24 hours, and the more I looked at them the more I hated it. I will definitelybe trying again but not just yet. 

Anyway onto what I actually did, like I said before I did not plan anything didn't even know if I was going to try flowers or just a plain color. So I dug around a bit and came up with an idea, Blue and different flakies well what could be better... 

Until I added the flowers and the glitter then it made even better... Lol I was really happy with how this turned out, I even patched a chip and I never do that ever once it chips it's time for a new mani. but since the chip was due to my awful thin nail only the day after doing these, I just had too. Bet you can't tell which one is patched. 

ok on to the many Pictures I have here, also I took so many more I went through and weeded them out still had alot though, oh well.

with Sally Hansen Powerful Acrylic Gel on select nails

Base Color: China Glaze- Blue Year's Eve 

With Finger Paints- Flashy and Flecked layered on top 

Revlon- Runway Pearl for the flower and

Color Club- Sugar Plum Fairy for the flower middles.  

I took some pictures at weird angles to show all the different colors from the flakies and of course Runway pearl.

ASBMF- Butterflies

I had a completely different idea for this mani, I first painted all my nail using Kleancolor Fushia Neon, with accent nails in Rimmel London Black Satin (I think this is my new favorite black, and love the brush), But a big problem there is that the Kleancolor would not dry I even added seche vite to speed it up, but still was not working then I bumped two of my nails and messed them up. So I called a quits with it, on a better note it does stamp well so I'll probably just use it for stamping.

The only thing I did keep was what I wanted to stamp, which was the butterfly image on BM- 205, I love that image, It was the one I was most excited for when I ordered the second Bundle Monster set.

ASBMF- Fresh Cut Lawns

Before I get into my Fresh Cut Lawns,
Just want to let everyone know I now have a facebook page for my little blog... Yay I've actually been wanting to make one for awhile now and just took the plunge yesterday, I have added the link to my page over here --->>> , so there isn't much on there s of yet, but I'll be getting there soon.

Ok on the nails...
For "fresh cut lawns" I had no idea what I wanted to do. Then I figured I would just go with a pretty green or something. Then I thought of just drawing some grass. A striper brush and a could of greens later this is what I came up with...

 Used: 

Base Coat

Base colors of Sinful Colors- Cinderella (2-3 coats)with a gradient of Orly- Lucky Duck 

For the Grass- 

Milani striper in Green (Sorry can't remember the name)

China Glaze- Holly Day

for the Gold: Milani - Gold Striper (again sorry don't have the name) 

For the grass I just used the striper in an upward motion toward the cuticle. Put a little blob of the Milani green and Chine Glaze Holy day, then dipped the striper in both and went to town. Some nails are better than others, but all in all it turned out really pretty. I thought the gold would look pretty in the sun.

I really enjoyed wearing these, I had fun having people guess what it was supposed to be. Then seeing the reaction when I told them it's what it looks like. 

I suppose I have officially failed this challenge since it was supposed to be from April to May, oh well I'm going to finish this out it's been fun.

Haha took this after swimming, thought it looked cool under the water. The pics aren't all that clear but I like the effect of the water moving.
